  Through this week I have been enlightened from the Evening readings from Acts.  It is something that we need to think about as well.  When we are put in front of the truth about Jesus Christ, how do we react?  The characters in this account in Acts 26 have interest.  They even think they will see something Jesus does for their entertainment.  Acts 26 is the text. " 26 For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner. 27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest. 28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. " There are many almost times in our lives and in also in our acquaintances and friends/families.  When we see the facts about Jesus and the testimony of others in the Scriptures, what is our response? 1.   Instead of a long message I think we can profit from the wisdom of others.   I seem to believe that sometimes for whatever reason,  we have a tendency to skim over things and not take them to heart. Therefore,  I suggest Thomas Watson , " All Things for Good" for a change and encouragement in our Christian lives . This dear little book published by Banner of Truth Trust was first published in the 1600's as "The Divine Cordial". Watson was the minister of St. Stephen's, Walbrook. The theme of the book comes from the familiar verse Romans 8:28 " We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to His purpose." 1.  We know.  So often we don't know ( a lack of love for God and trust in Him?)---- we must trust in God's plan which is unknown to us.  It reminds me of the wooden piece that my grandfather , the retired Presbyterian , and son of G Campell Morgan gave me.  It looks like the...
